The service at www.irishrail.ie will be active from 11.30am.

Customers purchasing rail tickets through Iarnród Éireann’s website will be able to have them mailed directly. GAA fans also have the option of collecting their tickets from one of the new ticket distribution machines (TDMs) installed at Kent Station, Cork.

For customers who do not have internet access, tickets for the special trains can also be bought through Iarnród Éireann’s telesales number (021) 455-7185 or (021) 455-7189 from 11.30am, but must have credit card details ready.

As well as the regular services, there will be three special All-Ireland trains from Cork direct to Dublin (one to Heuston Station and two to Connolly Station) and two from Mallow, also serving Charleville, to Dublin (one to Heuston and one to Connolly).

Business development manager Andrew Roche says an executive special to the match will be in operation. It includes full Irish breakfast on the outward journey, transfers between Heuston and Croke Park, and an evening meal on the return journey. It is already sold out, with 172 passengers paying €199 per person.
