Lacey adapts to revamped Kildare as young bloods thrive

IT took Brian Lacey some time before becoming accustomed to the Kildare dressingroom over the winter and spring.

No longer did he arrive at training to find the bundle of enthusiasm that is Mick O’Dwyer. No longer were the likes of Ken Doyle and Brian Murphy there to shoot the breeze.

That defeat by Kerry last July saw a lot more than the departure of Micko, it brought wholesale change.
