AS Limerick’s unbeaten start to the NHL would seem to suggest, the days of inter-county dual players appears to be over. Tipperary’s Brendan Cummins certainly seems to think so.

The three-time hurling All-Star played both codes for Tipperary and appeared in two Munster senior finals during two stints with the footballers.

He contemplated a third stint in 2004 but decided to quit once and for all after two challenge games, saying he could no longer serve two masters.
