KEVIN SHEEDY is a genius. That was the word from the jubilant Australian camp after the country’s record-breaking 36-point win over Ireland in the first Foster’s International Rules Test in Perth on Friday night.

The Australians became the first team to score 100 points in an International Rules’ Test to all but guarantee they will win this year’s series, with Ireland needing to win next Friday night’s second Test in Melbourne by 37 points to reclaim the trophy.

And the Australians came through the match injury-free.
