Bradley unavailable for McKenna Cup final

DERRY skipper Paddy Bradley has ruled himself out of Sunday’s McKenna Cup final against Tyrone. But the All Star nominee is hoping for a speedy return from an ankle injury in time for the crunch Div 2B league tie with Cavan on March 6.

Bradley was stretchered out of last Sunday’s win over Louth in Drogheda after with an ankle problem. Boss Mickey Moran said the player could join Muldoon on the injury list but those fears have been allayed.

Bradley’s injury was assessed on Monday and indications are he has not damaged ligaments and may be out for two weeks. That will rule him out of Sunday’s McKenna Cup clash with Tyrone at Casement Park but crucially he should be back to bolster their promotion push in the league against Cavan.
