Colm Mullen US bound

The Clare footballers have been rocked by the departure of ace free-taker Colm Mullen. The dual star who won an All-Ireland MHC medal in 1997 is emigrating to America.

Manager John Kennedy expressed surprise at the departure of the talented Mullen and states that he is also facing problems with a number of the side in a race to recover from injury.

On the physio's bench are Enda Coughlan (knee), Michael O'Dwyer (ankle), Dermot O'Brien (ankle) and Donal O'Sullivan (back), who now face an uphill battle to be fit.
