Clare big guns back to face Waterford
Two of the most celebrated Clare hurlers of recent times, both Fitzgerald and Lohan have been out of commission for the past number of weeks. Fitzgerald missed the concluding stages of the league after receiving a two months suspension, while Lohan played only 105 minutes of hurling in the pennant competition because of a long-term hamstring injury.
Lohan’s brother Frank will play his first championship game at full forward but Jamesie O’Connor failed to make Anthony Daly’s starting fifteen because of a hamstring injury picked up in Clare’s league game against Cork. But O’Connor has been included in the substitutes.
