Is it déjà vu in Killarney

THOSE who devised the All-Ireland qualifier system must be licking their lips and clapping themselves on the back today.

Is it déjà vu in Killarney

Because Cork and Tipp is the ultimate All-Ireland qualifier game. There’s huge expectancy about this one and justifiably so.

In some ways, the venue is a coup for Tipp. Killarney is special for the Premier and the supporters sense it. It’s not really that Tipp have never been beaten in championship there, but Killarney will always revive debate of 1987 and the clash with Cork. The end of the ‘famine’ and the beginning of a golden era for Tipp.
