DUBLIN and Tyrone are considering whether to appeal the penalties imposed by the Central Disciplinary Committee (CDC) yesterday.

Counties consider appealing ‘Battle of Omagh’ penalties

The CDC handed the respective county boards fines totalling €20,000 and hit six players with eight-week bans as a result of the “Battle of Omagh” in the NFL first round earlier this month.

Tyrone County Board chairman Pat Darcy admits that they are considering their options. “With regards to the players who were suspended for eight weeks, they now have the right to appeal in the next stage of the process. That will be their individual choice.”
