Nemo and Douglas set for cracker

CHAMPIONS Nemo Rangers and pretenders Douglas clash in a mouth-watering Cork City U-21 FC semi-final at Ballinlough today (5 pm), part of a double header which also features Bishopstown and St. Michael’s at 6.30 pm.

Nemo and Douglas set for cracker

Nemo will be led by Cork U-21 captain Paul Kerrigan, but because of injuries and suspension may be a little vulnerable against a Douglas side that won the Premer minor title last season in fine style. However, the champions are always a tough nut to crack and won’ give up their title easily.

Cork U-21 player Eoin Cadogan is sure to spur Douglas and with Barry Fitzgerald in good form its makes for a cracking local derby.

Bishopstown, with Ken O’Halloran and Denis Crowley of the winning Coláiste An Spioraid Naoimh Corn Ui Mhuiri side in action, could be a dark horse this season and with plenty of players with Kelleher Shield experience in the side may prove too strong for St. Michael’s.
