Mullins favourite as Dubs deny O'Dwyer link

BRIAN MULLINS is odds-on favourite to be appointed coach to the Dublin footballers after GAA chiefs in the county laughed off suggestions that they had approached Mick O'Dwyer to replace Tommy Lyons.

O'Dwyer confirmed last night that he is remain at the helm in Laois for two more years, dismissing speculation that he had been "tapped up" for the Dublin job.

"I have met with the county chairman, Dick Miller, and everything is ironed out for next season," he said.
