Cavan’s Forde banned for 12 weeks

CAVAN will be without Anthony Forde for Sunday’s NFL tie against Waterford in Breffni Park after he received a 12-week suspension following his sending off in the game against Sligo on March 12.

He is one of a host of players who have got suspensions ranging from a month to three months as the Central Disciplinary Committee in Croke Park crack down on indiscipline.

Longford’s Liam Keenan received a four-week suspension after being sent off in the league game against Roscommon in March. His county colleague Declan O’Reilly also received a four-week dip after being sent off in the game against Carlow on March 26.
