Moran injury adds to Dublin’s league woes

DUBLIN’S injury concerns are mounting ahead of next year’s Allianz NFL, with Colin Moran the latest to join the casualty list.

Moran injury adds to Dublin’s league woes

Moran faces a lay-off until early March and could be facing surgery on a groin injury. With injuries to Stephen O’Shaughnessy (shoulder) and Paddy Christie, who has ongoing abductor problems despite coming on for Ballymun last weekend, coupled with Shane Ryan’s suspension, the door is set to be opened to some new blood.

The Kilmacud contingent of Paul Griffin, Darren Magee, Liam Og O hEineachain, Ray Cosgrove and Mark Vaughan are likely to be ‘club tied’ for the start of the league, at least, ahead of their All-Ireland Club SFC semi-final on February 19.

That date is also posing a problem for the Leinster Council as Dublin’s U21 footballers are scheduled to face Kildare in the Leinster Championship on the same day.
