FORGET Setanta Ó hAilpín, Alan Browne, and Pat Mulcahy - focus instead on the players we have.

O’Grady preaches the present, not the past

That was the message from Cork manager Donal O'Grady yesterday as the countdown continued to Sunday's Guinness Munster SHC in Thurles.

"It's a fair comparison to look back at actual games, what you did well, what you did poorly. But as regards personnel, it's like preparing for the Leaving Cert, no point in looking back to last year's paper at a question that's definitely not going to be on this year's paper. Grand to look back, history tells you a lot, where you made mistakes and everything else, but when players are gone, they're gone. This is the 2004 team and we drive on with what we have, do the best we can."
