Críost Rí saved at the bell by keeper
The Capwell college looked to be coasting to victory when they led by double scores, 2-10 to 1-5 after 55 minutes, but a cracking goal by David Moran who lobbed the ‘keeper from 12 metes, set up a grandstand finish by the Green which only failed thanks to the brilliance of David Bevan in the Críost Rí goal.
T ralee had the advantage of the strong wind in the first half and as the play swung from end to end it was the Cork side which broke the deadlock when Craig Neville burst through to score a fine goal which helped his side to a 1-3 to 0-4 half-time lead.
