THE FAI can forget about Ireland’s World Cup qualifier with France in October being played at Croke Park, the GAA’s president-elect Nicky Brennan said yesterday.

He stressed: “As far as the motion we passed is concerned, it was for the use of Croke Park during the development of Lansdowne Road.”

And, he offered this reassurance to worried members regarding club grounds. “The motion refers only to Croke Park. Anybody who is reading anything else into it is simply wrong. It simply is not going to happen and on my watch I will never want to see it happen.
