Kennelly stars for high-flying Swans
Kennelly, a former Kerry minor and U21, had seven kicks in the 37 point victory which has heightened hopes that the Swans can take a historic premiership back to the Harbour City.
The Swans’ big win assured them of a top-four finish and a home final at some stage in September.
But Paul Roos’ men will have to wait until next week before learning if they will travel to Perth or Adelaide in the opening week of the finals.
By finishing in the top four, the Swans can afford to lose their first game in the play-offs and still be in contention for the title.
Next week, the Swans play Melbourne side Hawthorn at the MCG on Saturday.
