Nemo fancied to overcome Newmarket

NEMO RANGERS will be without the suspended Michael Morgan for tonight’s permanent tsb Cork IFC clash in Macroom (8pm).

However, they are fancied to carry too much power for Newmarket and book a place in the IFC quarter finals.

Colin Corkery is available to Nemo and could prove a match winner.

A recent comprehensive league win over the Duhallow club side will have the Capwell men in good shape and with exciting young players like Paul Brophy, Shane Marshall and Alan Hogan included, Newmarket have a mountain to climb.

Newmarket were involved in a rousing first round tie against Macroom which they won by a point, but that was 11 weeks ago.

However, having reached the last four in 2003, they will be very keen to go at least one better this year and will look to Sean Francis O’Connor now in the twilight of a great career, Mike Cottrell and Tony O’Keeffe to pull them through what is a very difficult assignment.
