Twelve counties vie for U16 glory
Since its inception in 1988, this competition has given many future hurling stars the opportunity to showcase their skills and play against the best players of their age group.
The draws for this year’s championship are as follows:
Group A (Venue - Dr Morris Park): Dublin, Tipperary and Wexford.
Group B (Venue - Thurles Sarsfields Grounds): Laois, Kilkenny and Antrim.
Group C (Venue - The Ragg): Limerick, Waterford and Offaly.
Group D (Venue - Borrisoleigh): Clare, Cork and Galway.
The group matches and the semi-finals will be played tomorrow. The times of the group matches are 10.30am, 12.30pm and 2.30pm. The top team in each group will qualify for the Arrabawn Co-Op semi-finals and the second placed team in each group will qualify for the Shield semi-finals.
The semi-finals will be played at 4.30pm. Both finals will be played on Sunday in MacDonagh Park, Nenagh. The Shield final will have a 2pm throw-in followed by the Arrabawn Co-Op final at 3.30pm.
