Nickey in race for Congress
Now Kilkenny have proposed Leinster Council chairman, Nickey Brennan for the top job.
The 51-year-old Brennan, a former Kilkenny Co Board chairman and senior hurling and football team manager, was officially proposed at Co. Board Convention. Brennan was officially proposed by Kieran Muldowney, a member of his own Conahy Shamrocks club, and seconded by Paddy Butler (St Lachtain’s) and he received unanimous support.
Mr Brennan was wished well by Kilkenny chairman, Ned Quinn, who said he was a very worthy candidate for the position.
