Injured McMenamin, Lawn will be fit for Ulster final

TYRONE’S Ryan McMenamin will be fit for the Ulster final, after an injury sustained in the closing stages of Saturday’s win over Cavan turned out to be less serious than feared.

The Tyrone defender suffered a staved thumb, and is set to face Armagh in the Croke Park decider on Sunday week.

Initial suggestions he had damaged a wrist turned out to be off the mark.

And fears over full-back Chris Lawn have also been allayed.

Lawn went off injured in the closing stages of the Clones clash at the weekend, but manager Mickey Harte confirmed that, while he did take a knock to the ribs, his withdrawal was precautionary.

Harte revealed that everyone else came through the big win over the Breffni men unscathed.

And with the exception of long-term injury victim Colin Holmes, he is preparing for the big showdown with Armagh with a full squad.
