More Ashbourne Cup joy for UL

UL made it back-to-back titles in the JJ Kavanagh Ashbourne Cup when they defeated UCD 0-12 to 1-4 in Ballygunner yesterday.

Brilliant defending from both sides, meant it was level at the break, UCD 1-3 UL 0-6, before Jennifer O’Leary sent over two frees for UL.

A further 45 from O’Leary spelled trouble for the Dublin College, who could not get past UL ‘keeper Denise Lynch.
