Daly back with Kerry for clash with Dubs

DONAL DALY is recalled to the Kerry team for Sunday’s showdown with Dublin in Parnell Park. He is one of three changes from the team which defeated Cork last Saturday.

This will be Daly’s first league start this season. He comes in at midfield for the suspended Séamus Scanlon. The other two changes sees Liam Hassett in for the injured Paul Galvin and Declan Quill in for captain Dara Ó Cinnéide, not considered because of his club’s All-Ireland Club semi-final involvement on Sunday week.

A positional switch sees Aidan O’Mahony swap places with Brendan Guiney in the full-back line. Quill is named at top of the right, with Ronan O’Connor at full-forward. Mike Frank Russell, substituted against Longford and Cork, again starts on Sunday.

Leitrim, still to open their account, have left a vacancy at right half-forward with first choice winger John McGuinness doubtful because of a leg injury.

With regular goalkeeper Shane Curran, and versatile forwards Stephen Lohan and Frankie Dolan still out of commission, unbeaten Roscommon have announced an unchanged side for their visit to London this weekend.

Stunned by Sligo last time out, Laois have made a number of changes for their visit to Armagh on Sunday. Joe Higgins takes over at right half-back in place of the injured Darren Rooney. Team captain Ian Fitzgerald returns in place of Martin Delaney at full-forward, with Chris Bergin and Colm Kelly now filling the corner-forward positions.

Although going under badly to Derry last weekend, Louth have named an unchanged side for their home game with Wicklow on Sunday.

Galway have been forced to replace new, young centre-back Darren Mullahy because of a leg injury he picked up in last week’s runaway victory over Armagh.

He his replaced by his Milltown club colleague Diarmuid Blake. Donegal reintroduce John Gildea at midfield for their home game against Monaghan. Gildea has been out of action with an ongoing back complaint, but was introduced as a substitute in the win over Leitrim last weekend.
