Galway’s chance for redemption against Tyrone

THOUGH this will be their fourth consecutive Allianz NFL meeting, there will be something different about this Tyrone-Galway clash in Omagh this Sunday.

Galway’s chance for redemption against Tyrone

Firstly, it is a league semi-final, far more significant than those little tit-for-tats in February. And, should both teams be firing on their all-encompassing cylinders, it is the game most neutrals would want to see.

Galway haven’t hit full stride for a couple of seasons now, though. In the league, parts of their impressive armoury have sparked only to be let down by others. Long after people have forgotten which team will be celebrating this year’s league title, football fans will still remember what Mattie Forde did to John O’Mahony’s team in Tuam.
