Gaelcoláiste's late strike seals it

GAELCOLÁISTE Chiarraí struck late to reach the Munster Vocational Schools JAFC final by beating a brave Askeaton outfit at Glin yesterday.

Askeaton, thanks to the accuracy of corner-forward Ian Ryan, who kicked their entire first-half total of eight points, led at the break 0-8 to 0-2 with the wind to their backs. Gael Coláiste did start the better with early points from Jack Ó Buachalla and Darren Duinneacha but found it difficult to make further progress.
