Skipper Moran relieved Limerick ship no longer rudderless

CONSIDERING they've had four times as many managers as championship wins this past three seasons, it's hardly surprising that Limerick are approaching Sunday's Munster SHC meeting with Tipperary in a fragile state of mind.

After another winter of discontent on Shannonside, Padjoe Whelahan followed Eamon Cregan and Dave Keane and severed ties with a senior team that has only a win over Kerry - and a nervy one at that - to show for three summers of hurling.

Momentum can be fickle, though, and Limerick's slide could easily be reversed with a win over Ken Hogan's side in Thurles. Captain Ollie Moran certainly seems to think so.
