St. Flannan’s give Mon a lesson in hurling
It was 2-12 to 1-1 at the break and with just three minutes of normal time remaining, the tally stood at 3-23 to 1-2. Only a late North Mon surge, with goals from Eoin Cronin and never-say-die midfielder Allan Brady served to give the final result a glimmer of respectability.
Twenty minutes gone and Flannan's must have been wondering, how did this lot beat Thurles CBS, who had already beaten them. At that stage it was already 1-10 to no score and the contest was over.
