King is doubtful for final

JOHN PAUL KING is a major doubt for Newtownshandrum’s All-Ireland club hurling final appearance against Dunloy at Croke Park tomorrow.

“John Paul broke a bone in his hand in a challenge game against UCC last Saturday week,” selector Seanie Clifford revealed last night.

“We were trying to play it down, hoping that he’d recover in time, but at this stage it looks like he’ll be under fierce pressure to make the game.
