Youngster ready for biggest test yet

Galway starlet Ger Farragher knows that if he wants to continue his strike rate in the All-Ireland final, he will have to venture into the domain of Cork’s full-back Diarmuid O’Sullivan. Michael Moynihan spoke to both men.

YOU REMEMBER him, of course. The powerful minor with the black and gold helmet, the unorthodox grip, the sideline cuts glided over the bar. Ger Farragher was a famous hurler long before he was 18, appearing in three minor All-Ireland finals.

This Sunday he appears in his first senior decider.
