TG4 to recall when Spillane walked the walk

KERRY legend Pat Spillane, nowadays best known as a television pundit and newspaper columnist, will be profiled on TG4 in their popular Laochra Gael series.

The programme, which will be shown on Sunday night, was formally launched in Spillane's pub in Templenoe last evening by Sports Minister John O'Donoghue.

"His record speaks for itself one of only five men to have won a record breaking eight All-Ireland medals, 12 Senior Munster Championships, 2 All-Ireland U21 Championships, 9 All Star Awards, and he was picked for both Team of the Millennium and Team of the Century the list goes on and on.
