Kerry in shock win over Mayo
The Kingdom entered the game with no points, while Mayo were topping the group following an impressive victory over All-Ireland champions Galway last weekend.
Kerry led by three points at the break yesterday and pulled away in the second half, winning 1-13 to 0-8.
Monaghan had their first win of the campaign, beating Kildare in Newbridge, 3-10 to 2-4. In the only other Division 1A game yesterday, Galway beat Cork in Donoughmore, 0-11 to 0-7. In Division 1B, Meath beat Roscommon in Ballyfornan, 0-11 to 0-4. Dublin accounted for Tyrone, 1-14 to 1-9, in Portmarnock.
In Division 1B, Waterford defeated Louth in Ballylinan, 2-10 to 1-3.
In Division 2A, there were victories for Cavan, Limerick and Sligo.
