Late goal earns CBS place in decider

Mitchelstown CBS 3-5 Nagle Rice (Doneraile) 1-9

Doneraile had the edge for long periods and led through to the closing moments.

Paul Sweeney goaled for Doneraile, which gave them a 1-4 to 0-3 interval lead.

The Mitchelstown side came right back into contention when Richard McEniry had a goal in the 34th minute to make it 1-5 to 1-3.

But Doneraile responded in great style with points by Kevin Cotter (2) and Paul Sweeney to lead 1-8 to 1-3 entering the final quarter.

In injury-time a long range free by Richard McEniry was finished to the net by Shane Fitzgerald following a goalmouth scramble. The final whistle sounded on the puck-out.

CBS will meet Mahon in the county final next week.
