Better balanced Beara should win replay

BEARA and Carrigdhoun will have benefited from the drawn game when they replay their Cork SFC game tonight at Castletownkennagh, 6.45 p.m.

Carrigdhoun were forced to play without a number of key players in Neil Hayes, Peter Murphy (Carrigaline), David Horan (Tracton) and Ken O’Regan (Kinsale) but all four are available which could tilt the scales in their favour.

Beara looked to be going out of the championship when they found themselves five points adrift midway through the second-half, but showed commendable spirit to earn a replay with a late Donagh Wiseman point.

Man for man Beara look to have the better players, and having got the fright of their lives last Sunday, may accept the chance to complete the job this time.
