Offaly master Meath in tight clash

Offaly 0-13 Meath 1-9

However, a Meath goal brought the Royals back into contention and the teams were level with minutes left to play.

With three minutes of normal time remaining Offaly midfielder Rory Connor struck what turned out to be the winning score but then referee Peter Daly signalled there would be at least three minutes of additional time. Daly then appeared to lose track of proceedings and blew the final whistle with less than two minutes played.
