Memory of McAnallen will live on with international sporting gesture

CORMAC McANALLEN was always a strong advocate of the International Rules game. The hybrid sport suited McAnallen’s powerful footballing style and his competitive attitude.

Tomorrow week, the late Tyrone captain will be honoured as the winners of the International Rules series will be awarded the Cormac McAnallen Cup for the first time.

This joint initiative by the GAA and the AFL was unveiled yesterday in the presence of Cormac’s mother, Bridget.
