Cork camogie team take title

CORK made up for their recent Munster Junior Championship camogie defeat by Clare when they overcame the Banner 1-12 to 0-14 in the Intermediate Championship final in Newmarket on Fergus last night.

Catherine Corkery was the Rebels' hero when she scored the only goal of the match after seven minutes. However Clare drew level 0-7 to Cork's 1-4 at the break.

The second half was highly entertaining with two late points from Eimear O'Friel guaranteeing Cork their seventh Munster Intermediate Championship title.
