Legend Duxie back on the All-Ireland trail

KILKENNY’S legendary Michael “Duxie” Walsh, who came out of retirement earlier this year, will once again battle it out for an All-Ireland final spot this weekend.

Walsh and partner Eugene Downey meet Wexford’s Tommy Hynes and Colin Keeling in the semi-finals of the All-Ireland 60 x 30 Handball Championship at 4.30pm in Garryhill, Co Carlow, this afternoon.

The Wexford pair previously won the title in 2000 and have yet to repeat the feat, while the Kilkenny pair have 10 wins in the senior doubles grade.

The other semi-final pairing takes place at Croke Park at 5.30pm this evening, when Meath’s Walter O’Connor and partner take on Carlow’s David King and John Ryan.
