THE suspension of Waterford hurler John Mullane for the All-Ireland semi-final won’t be determined until the Games Administration Committee’s next meeting on Sunday week.

Waterford County Board had expected an official GAC response this week to its representations on behalf of Mullane, who is set to serve a one-month suspension and a one-match ban - the August 8 All-Ireland semi-final - following his red card dismissal in last month’s Munster final against Cork.

The letter from the Waterford board was among a sizeable amount of correspondence the GAC was unable to deal with at its meeting last Monday, and the matter was deferred to its next meeting on August 1.
