Brogan ruled out for six weeks

ALAN BROGAN has been ruled out of the rest of Dublin’s Allianz NFL campaign as the corner forward is to undergo explorative surgery on his knee, according to a statement on Hill16, the Dublin GAA’s official website.

Brogan ruled out for six weeks

Brogan sustained the knee injury in Dublin’s Division 1A victory over Mayo at Parnell Park on February 5, and was forced to miss the second-round defeat to Tyrone.

It is expected that Brogan will miss the next six weeks of action, which would bring the league up to the semi-final stages.

Meanwhile, U21 star and senior starlet Declan O’Mahony has suffered a broken bone in his foot and will also be out for a number of weeks. O’Mahony has only returned after a shoulder injury, and he had a very good game in the challenge match victory over Tyrone U21s.
