Chelsea announced a Premier League-record pre-tax loss of £262.4million for the year ending June 30, 2025 on the same day it was revealed they had spent significantly more on agents’ fees than any other English club this season.

The loss was attributed by the club to higher operating costs compared to the 2023-24 season, and smashed the previous highest pre-tax loss posted by Manchester City in the 2010-11 season.
