Laya Healthcare has been announced as naming partner for the revamped, 20,000-capacity RDS.

The new multi-purpose venue, home to Leinster Rugby and the annual Dublin Horseshow, will now be known as Laya Arena and is due to reopen at the back end of next summer after major construction work.

A new main Anglesea grandstand will be in place by the end of the rebuild with other works including new dressing-rooms and ancillary facilities in the opposite, existing sideline stand.

“This is a hugely significant day for Leinster Rugby as we move ever closer to a return to the RDS, our home stadium since 2007 and, indeed, for many years ahead, said Leinster CEO, Shane Nolan, at an event on-site to reveal the news.

Leinster have a 25-year agreement to use the ground. That stretches up to 2047.

The 2026 Horse Show will be the first major event to be held at the reconstituted ground next August.
