The Football Association of Ireland, along with the IRFU, have welcomed the announcement that Aviva Ireland has extended its partnership with Irish football.
The renewed agreement includes the naming rights for Aviva Stadium until 2030 and the continued sponsorship of the Republic of Ireland Senior Men's and Women's International teams.
The new five-year agreement ensures the Dublin venue will remain Aviva Stadium, which the FAI believes secures a "vital partnership that has been central to the development of Irish football since 2010."
Since its opening, Aviva Stadium has provided the stage for some of the most unforgettable moments in Irish football history, including the historic 1-0 victory over world champions Germany in 2015 and, more recently, a record-breaking attendance of 35,944 for the first-ever Senior Women’s National Team international against Northern Ireland as well as the memorable victory over Belgium in the UEFA Women’s Nations League.
The venue is also central to the domestic football calendar, hosting the showpiece Sports Direct Men’s FAI Cup final, which saw Shamrock Rovers beat Cork City to clinch the title on Sunday, and the association also believes it inspires the next generation by hosting the FAI Schools Primary 5s finals day, the pinnacle of a competition with 44,000 participants.
Speaking following the announcement David Courell, FAI CEO, said: “The extension of our partnership with Aviva is hugely positive for Irish football.
"Since 2010, the Aviva Stadium has been the backdrop for some truly unforgettable nights and provides an incredible stadium experience for our fantastic supporters.
"Crucially, Aviva’s commitment extends beyond the stadium through their vital support of our 'In Her Boots' programme, which plays a key role in developing women and girls' football.
"We thank the entire team at Aviva for their unwavering support as we build towards a brighter future for Irish football.”
"Sean Kavanagh, FAI Commercial Director, added: “From a commercial perspective, this is a hugely significant announcement for the FAI. The renewal of our partnership with Aviva, a leading brand in its field, is a powerful endorsement of the value and visibility that Irish football provides.
"This long-term commitment supports our strategic vision to reinvest in the game at all levels. Aviva has been a truly collaborative partner, and we are excited to continue working with them to enhance the match-day experience for our fans and deliver on our shared objectives for years to come.
"We look forward to continuing our successful partnership with Aviva, ensuring the home of Irish football remains a world-class stage for generations to come.”
