ONE of the sectors that will suffer most under Donald Trump’s sweeping tariff regime on global trade partners — which he has now paused for 90 days — will be sport.

If the US president doesn’t back down entirely from threatening global partners with even a 10% tax on goods coming into the US, the already jittery markets which met his initial tariff announcement last week will resume their downward decline.
