On Sunday at the Royal Golf Club in Bahrain the little-known Dylan Frittelli beat lesser-knowns Zander Lombard and Jesper Svensson to win the Bahrain Championship.

There were no star names, no crowds and no atmosphere for what should have been a supreme showcase for the DP World Tour, playing out to a crescendo of irresistible excitement.
