'Lot more to come' – Phil Foden hailed as writers' Footballer of the Year 

The England star's Manchester City clubmate Bunny Shaw picked up the Women's Footballer of the Year award.

Phil Foden said 'there is a lot more to come' from him as he accepted his Footballer of the Year award from FWA chair John Cross ahead of last night's Football Writers' Association awards ceremony.

Foden beat off competition from England team-mate Declan Rice and Manchester City team-mate Rodri to win 42% of the vote by the FWA, which represents almost 900 football journalists.
