Belfast and Kerry derbies headline InsureMyVan.ie Super League
Ballincollig's Sean McManus breaks through the Killester defence to score.
The seasonal debut of the midweek fixture, as Killester moved into second place in the North Conference courtesy of a 97-67 win against bottom side Bright St.Vincent’s, while Friday night it’s the turn of the Belfast derby to make a first appearance of the season, when Belfast Star make the short trip to Jordanstown Sport Village to face Ulster University.
Each side has likely achieved their early season goal. Adrian Fulton has taken Belfast Star to the summit of the standings without tasting defeat in spite of a late injury which saw De Ondre Jackson come in on short notice. Meanwhile, Ryan McCormick’s Ulster University have enjoyed some early wins to build momentum into the middle period of the campaign. It’ll no doubt be a raucous atmosphere in Jordanstown for a game that sold out earlier this week and the outcome could easily come down to the final seconds of regulation and beyond.
