Forty-five Russian athletes and two coaches will not take part in the Winter Olympics after the Court of Arbitration for Sport dismissed their request to be invited by the International Olympic Committee.

CAS has ruled the IOC's process over the involvement of the Olympic Athletes from Russia "could not be described as a sanction, but rather an eligibility decision".
