WATCH: Shane Warne and pals caught out for not belting up in Facebook video

Kevin Pietersen and Shane Warne have been reprimanded by Tasmania Police for not wearing seatbelts while filming a Facebook live video in a moving car.

The pair, along with former Australia opener Michael Slater who has faced the same police action, took part in a live broadcast on Warne's Facebook page after day three of the second Test with South Africa in Hobart last week.

The trio are working for Channel 9 during the ongoing series, and in the video 36-year-old Pietersen, 46-year-old Slater and 47-year Warne appear with TV colleagues and former Test players Ian Healy and Mark Taylor who sit in the front seats - both are wearing seatbelts.

Pietersen, Slater and Warne are not wearing them as Warne conducts a review of the day's play before a viewer comments on the lack of them and the former spinner says "good point, seatbelts" and the trio belt up.

A statement on Tasmania Police's Facebook page read: "Tasmania Police has issued infringement notices to three men for not wearing their seatbelts: A 47 year old man from Victoria. A 46 year old man from New South Wales. A 36 year old man from the United Kingdom.

"The infringements for Failing to Wear a Seatbelt were issued after police reviewed a video posted on one of the men's Facebook page.

"Tasmania Police remind motorists that seatbelts save lives and urge drivers to insist their passengers buckle up too."
