Watch Cork teenager score a full-court buzzer-beater

A Cork basketballer scored a huge buzzer-beating shot this weekend, writes Stephen Barry.

16-year-old James Hannigan was lining out for Neptune in the Under 18 National Cup when he produced the monster shot from all the way inside his own three-point line.

Dunks from Liam Chandler (two) and Cian Heaphy further underlined the talent on display from the Cork players.

They beat Tolka Rovers 100-48 in that game and averaged 96 points per game as they convincingly won Pool 1.

All in all, not a bad weekend’s work!
