Chicago Cubs three games away from ending 108-year World Series wait

The Chicago Cubs kept their hopes of ending a 108-year World Series drought intact as they made it 1-1 against the Cleveland Indians.

The Cubs, who last won the famous competition in 1908, triumphed 5-1 in Game Two to cancel out the Indians' early lead in the best-of-seven contest.

Kyle Schwarber was the star with the bat as he drove in two runs while pitcher Jake Arrieta threatened to create history as he took a no-hitter into the sixth inning - the furthest anyone has got in the World Series since 1998.

The series now moves to Chicago on Friday.
